What is Operating Table ?
The operating room is a room within the hospital where surgical procedures are performed in an aseptic environment.
Operating theaters are large, easy-to-clean rooms that are often well lit with overhead surgical lights and have monitoring screens and monitors. Operating theaters are often windowless and have controlled temperature and humidity. Special air handling units filter the air and maintain a slightly elevated pressure. Electricity support has backup systems in case of power outage. The chambers are supplied with wall suction, oxygen and possibly other anesthetic gases. Key equipment consists of operating table and anesthesia instruments. In addition, there are boards for adjusting instruments. There is also a storage area for general surgical supplies and additional disposable containers. Outside the operating room is a special scrubbing area used by surgeons, anesthesiologists, operating room practitioners, and nurses before surgery. An operating room has a plan to allow the terminal cleaner to realign the operating table and equipment to the desired order during cleaning.
Several operating rooms are part of the operating room, which forms a separate section in a healthcare facility. It includes operating theaters and wash rooms, as well as rooms for changing, washing and resting personnel, preparation and recovery rooms, storage and cleaning facilities, offices, special corridors, and possibly other support units. Daha büyük tesislerde, ameliyathane hava kontrollüdür ve sadece yetkili personelin erişebilmesi için diğer departmanlardan ayrılmıştır.
The specially equipped table, which is available in most hospitals and operated by lying on the patient, is called the operating table.
